Katsuraki No Sato is an inn that has been open to guests since 1998. A detached ridge links the passage, between straggling 13000m2 of grass-covered plains straggled by Japanese Judas trees, a detached ridge links the passage. A Japanese-style luxury building, as you come through the entrance, by the big roaring hearth in the main wing of the room, you first take a cup of fresh green tea. The building used to belong to an elderly wealthy farmer, before being carefully dismantled and reconstructed in its current location. There are only ten rooms, and if you consider the numerous buildings used for only this amount of vacancies, you might not be surprised that people who visit and see for themselves the beauty of the inn and its surroundings, become regular customers, visiting again and again. From its elevated position, detached from anything else, you can take in the peak of Mt. Yakidake Hill nearby. The various buildings of the inn, including the bathhouses, have a charming wood smell, and indeed, you will be very tempted to quietly make use of the mountain hot spring alone. To say that this is an inn completely immersed in the heart of Hida's natural landscape is surely no exaggeration.

Remarks Because our inn has a limited amount of guestrooms, a maximum of only two rooms can be booked by one party of guests.
Breakfast is served between the hours of 8am - 9am.
If you decide to cancel your booking within the last 10 days before your intended stay, please be aware that your booking will be subject to a cancellation fee.

Access/by car Drive for approximately 70 mins. from Nagano Expressway Matsumoto I.C. or Tokai Hokuriku Expressway Takayama Nishi I.C. along national road 158, 471.
Access/by train Get off JR Takayama Station, take a bus bound for Shinhodaka Onsen for 75 mins. and get off at Fukuji Onsen. Alternatively take a bus bound for Shinhodaka from JR Matsumoto Station for 70 mins.

Remarks for transport information * From the end of November to the end of March, all vehicles must be fitted with appropriate anti-skid equipment (snow tyres, chains etc). * Guests travelling by bus must call Fukuji Onsen before boarding, as our inn is located in the middle of a bypass-like lane off the national road.
